Booking confirmation
A booking confirmation is the document you receive from the airline or travel provider once you have booked a flight. It is typically sent by email and contains details about the passenger, the flight and the booking.
Meaning: Confirmation of a completed booking
Relevant for: Compensation, rebooking, documentation and passenger details
Documentation: Can be used in connection with claims for compensation or a refund
What does this mean for your flight?
The booking confirmation shows which journey you have booked and which flight departures the booking covers. It typically contains your name, booking number, flight number, travel dates and departure and arrival airports.
You should therefore keep your booking confirmation, even after your journey has ended. It may be important documentation if your flight is delayed or cancelled, or if you are denied boarding.
